said goodbye to blois…took a train to paris

as it was tuesday the Louvre was closed but that did not stop the tourists

makes me wonder how bad it would be during the other days

lot of people wanting stuff or selling stuff

tying hard to take a frame that has not been taken before

dont think i could ever get myself to do that…jump off a plane i can

this is how it looks underneath

left the louvre and reached Jardin des Tuileries…where i saw a guided tour on segways….nice

and people in suits…keep in mind it was 35 degrees that day

switched to the 50

…Eiffel Tower…no…thats a dustbin

guillaume took this one while i was holding the camera…it turned out surprisingly well

getting out…into the blistering heat…more men in suits…cazy

this picture pretty much describes what i feel about the Eiffel Tower…its nice as a feat of engineering…but is spoilt by all the hagglers trying to sell shit

as we had some time left…we decided to check…Notre dame cathedral

only to find this gynormous queue of people waiting to get inside…

and thats it…took a final metro…then a ICE to frankfurt…

as of this trip…Blois was much much better than Paris…hopefully i will be back in Paris to spend some more time…and see all the non touristy stuff.

we stopped for lunch at Chaumont-sur-Loire

and delicious it was

if i knew how to swim…we would have done a bit of this

on our way back we stopped at Amboise…

back to Blois…and a visit to Claire’s parents house…to pick some Raspberry…

while Claire did the easy work of picking berries i did the tough part…taking photos

for all the hard work…i was given a four leaf clover

later that evening we met up with Sylvain and his girlfriend…who’s name i sadly do not remember

next morning…time to make some Macaron

later we headed to Tours

…at this point i was pretty frustrated with the lack of any good photos

so i switched to the 50

which…did not really help

back to Blois…waiting for Claire
