got a package from Austria the other day…and it was Milka chocolate, sent by Markus and Helga. Thx.

worked on the Barcelona book which is nearly done.

went for a walk to finish the roll of expired velvia…the om2 is acting up. eating battery like hell. had to buy new batteries mid way of the roll.

Last day…lets wrap thing up, shall we.

while we waited for the useless waiter to take our order

saw this lady at a chocolate shop

WHAT!!! the sun was out…on the last day

so wasting no time we headed for Casa MilÃ …where i picked up another audio guide

which told me AWESOME things about this place

they had screens with video giving a brief history

she was busy with the audio while…

…i took another meta photo

and found satish busy with the audio guide as well…

sadly…i did not say anything about…this

look at that…man too posh for my taste, i prefer sitting on the floor

not sure if she would agree, but she had the most beautiful eyes

told her goodbye and got back on the tube

…straight to the…wait for it…THE BEACH

hell yeah…finally after waiting for days…

saw this frame long way back when i saw them

love beaches…growing up in bombay you assume they are everywhere…then you come to oslo…haha i kid i kid…i love oslo…really

the hotel at the end reminded me of the one in Dubai

thats a pretty famous…thingy

love this frame…saw the light…saw satish walking…knew what i wanted…which is quite rare…turned out pretty good

sat at the beach for a long time…relaxed…

then made our way to the famous cable car…stood in the line…only to be told later…that its closed for the day

well…at least i got this frame

the lighting was fantastic

got in the mood to shoot some street

end of their dance performance…got rid of all the change i had

guy was doing that spray painting thingy…they all look the same

found a real nice bar…

last dinner…and satish mentions how awesome the trip was…

made our way to Hospital de St Pau…which has to be be awesomest hospital ever

thats a hospital!!! no kidding

was supposed to goto a park, but it got too late and we were too tired…but took this snap before we decided to call it a day

i have a same frame from japan

ok its not exactly the same…this is japan…and its AWESOME

dinner…more paella and sangria

so was satish…but he just lost his camera…bummer…we had lots of video on it

another WTF moment…this dude was shooting with his Mobile Phone…and his wife/whoever was holding up the umbrella…and this went on for ever…was pathetic. Firstly he was shooting with a mobile..ok fine…thats not that bad…but making a lady follow you around with an umbrella…thats pretty cheap

took the cable car down…felt so gooood…legs were in pain from all the walking

goto CafÃ© Zurich…which was a let down

Christmas 2008. The plan was to goto Amsterdam. But due to lack of planning, the flights turned out to be too expensive. So we did the next best thing, find the cheapest tickets to any place in south europe. That’s how Satish and me ended up going to Barcelona.

From my trip to Japan earlier this year. I had learn a great deal from Olve. Stuff like how to plan the days, read the Lonely Planet book and how not to trust it. So after doing some research, wiki, google maps, google earth and a lot of print outs. We were all set, except we were not prepared for the weather forecast…rain for most of the time we were supposed to be in Barcelona. But it was too late…so we set off.

figured out taxi would be cheap

so we took it…and we were welcomed by the awesome rain

first lunch at La Fonda…first sangria

took a walk in the rain

dinner…paella

breakfast…dog

the hostel was on the main street La Rambla

very touristy part of town

went to Mercat de la Boqueria…the local market

they told me i was too cool for the ride…damn

started walking towards Casa BatllÃ³

got there…luckily the queue was small and it started raining as soon as we got in…

you are given a kind of audio player which gives you info for each room and stuff…this is the terrace

she was the same one from the earlier camera photo…i was stalking her

goto the roof…

the rain was not helping…but we were making the best of it
