so…we did another road trip, because you never have too many

stopped at Antwerp to drop Inge

woke up the next day

in Ghent

tanning

browsing the interpipes

went around town

to some place to get some Brunch

Was invited to have Raclette with friends…

Raclette is also a dish indigenous to parts of Switzerland, Wallonia and France. The Raclette cheese round is heated, either in front of a fire or by a special machine, then scraped onto diners’ plates; the term raclette derives from the French racler, meaning “to scrape”. just realized that the top navigation was borked. which has been fixed…the plugin had decided it was a good thing to turn off.

net at home is broken as i am not able to access any other port but 80..i have photos from the sketchcrawl weekend which will be up once the router is fixed.

storÃ¸ya and halden

another weekend another beach(s)

We first went to this beach at storÃ¸ya, which was supposed to be awesome. The only thing i saw, was the awesome number of people(and kids) there. As we were there we took a dip in the water anyways…that done we decided to head to the beach at halden brygge. Nice beach…ok not a sandy beach but less people(and kids).

I dont know how to swim…yes there are people like me. Luckily i have friend who insist i learn how to swim…and thats what i did…not swimming…a bit of floating. It reminds me learning how to cycle. All good.

So i have been here for three years now…and finally i went for a swim. This shows it all depends on the company you keep.

This will probably be the last post before i head to India for vacation.

helene bought a 500d and a sigma 70-300…i threw up a bit when i saw the BIG lens…and decided to try it @ 300

the french did not let me down…they made tasty food…not sure if i like the 50/1.8…the 28/2.8 renders better

two bdays in a week…crazy…markus and dag

running around to get the three rolls of film dev and scanned and make prints of the digi stuff…crazy

we have two pro labs in Oslo Studio Technika and redlab…

i usually get everything done at Studio Technika…which sadly is also the most expensive lab in norway…

so this time i decided to try something diff…for one the guy who runs redlab is nicolay’s friend

i get to the lab to learn that he can only dev it and and neither scan or print it…he directed me to akerfoto to get the film scanned….

nice…i am being ironic

so this is what happened…

day 1
goto redlab, give negs for dev,
goto japanphoto to get the 50/1.8 for markus…out of stock,
goto fotoknudsen buy lens

day 2
goto studio technika, give 2 digi images for 30×45,

day 3
goto redlab, pickup negs,
goto akerfoto, give negs…machine broken…will take a day to scan 3 negs, buy a 30×45 frame for the prints,
goto studio technika, pickup prints,
get back home, frame is 30×45 and image area is 20x something…damn,

day 4
goto akerfoto, replace frame, film not scanned yet,
goto akerfoto after a hour, pick up scans…

thats the story of my life this week…

at least…on wednesday we had wine and helga had baked the most awesome cake/icecream thingy…and then made some stop-motion stuff with the eye-toy helga bought for markus

saturday…nearly missed the bus to dags party…good food again…some tapas stuff…i am bored of beer…yeah yeah…whatever…most of the gang left for oslo and managed to leave me and few other people behind…assholes…yes i am pissed…4 days of up down…and then being left behind…hmm…not good…bad karma i tell you…anyways…got a free ride back home…all good

not really happy with the digi stuff…for some reason most of the focus was off…have to find out why…

…send it to India and let some bloody madrasies work on it.

The game was completed…with bugs and required polish. It was never published as the would be publisher went bankrupt.

All the rights to the game was later brought by the India company…a small team began working on it…fixing bugs and polishing it. But…then it all went south(in more than one way)…the team was expanded…lots of inexperienced artists and coders were forced to work on the game…

At this point the core team got sidelined…work politics at its very best…one by one the core team quite…and sadly the inexperienced team got complete control of the game…and as predicted in its current state its plain embarrassing…

so…i am waiting for some important mails and guess what…not only does the site go down…i just noticed that i am not receiving any mails in my rediff account other than spam…

perfect…i could kill someone right now…or i should just eat a brownie and count from 1-10…

relax…

anyways…the important thing is that i will be not be using my rediff account anymore…the new one is gmail

So this week started with me going to Commons concert at Sentrum, which was awesome.

The video does not do justice to the awesome concert…

Tomorrow i goto the Marilyn Manson concert at Spectrum. Should be good…

And on 20th i goto meet suri in London.

On monday all the guys on our team at Funcom went to fancy place to have a team lunch…i has some english tea.

Update: Nine Inch Nails goes independent

Hello everyone. I’ve waited a LONG time to be able to make the
following announcement: as of right now Nine Inch Nails is a totally
free agent, free of any recording contract with any label. I have
been under recording contracts for 18 years and have watched the
business radically mutate from one thing to something inherently very
different and it gives me great pleasure to be able to finally have a
direct relationship with the audience as I see fit and appropriate.
Look for some announcements in the near future regarding 2008.
Exciting times, indeed.
