The day when all the norwegians dress up and look fancy.

This year though, we also had rain and snow.

Luckily for me…i was off to Oysteins/Thones house for breakfast. What was supposed to be a breakfast went on till 12am in the night…good times.

I had bought a roll of Delta 3200 some time back…and seeing the weather outside…i thought it was good time to use it. But the OM1 and OM2 dont like 3200…they have a limit of 1600…so me being smart…though i could load the OM2 with the 3200 set it to 1600 and set the Exposure Compensation to -1. But no…once u set the ASA to 1600…you cannot turn the EC dial.

BUT I AM SUPER SMART…not really…

I used the OM1 and manually underexposed all the frames by 1 stop…hardcore huh. Not really…i want the Nikon FM.

Anyways…the adventure does not end there…goto to the bustop and took few frames…for some reason the metering seemed strange…but i ignored it…got on the bus and saw that i had not turned on the camera. I am used to the 30d which i never turned off.

Rest of the day was standard…eating drinking taking pictures meeting people.

Ok there was one more issue…for some strange reason…the horizon on quite a few frames are zoinked…no its not the booz…if u see the previous post…i tend to shoot better when intoxicated.

the sun is out…but let it not fool you…for its cold and wet…

have an insane amount of pics to work on…and i still have to upload the film stuff…maybe a mid week update next week…this one is all digital…trying out a new tone for the bw…low contrast more details…

my friend and roommate markus left for austria today…will be strange…first helga…now markus…will miss you guys…but now i have a good reason to goto Vienna…

the sun was out…so were all the people…

later we went to a place called Beer Palace…its supposed to be THE place to go if you like beer…I DONT LIKE BEER…anyways…i asked for Kingfisher…which the bartender had not heard of…and when i told her its THE Indian beer…she told me the only indian beer she has is Cobra…to which i told her that…Cobra is British and not India…this seemed to piss her off as i had to wait 10 mins to get my order…nice…
anyways…at least they had strongbow…and a pool table

mid week…met up with kristine for dinner and then to goto mono where Marty Willson-Piper was playing…

it was sunny…and cold at the same time…

yesterday we had the Funcom summer party at Norwegian Wood…it was a disaster…as it RAINED…and did i say it was cold as well…dan/son…you guys did not miss much…

i am really happy with the images from this set…tones and frames and moments…i guess….cider before shooting is the way to go…

I saw Be Kind Rewind the other day and got extremely creative after watching the movie…so much that i ended up reversing lenses and went around the house shooting things…btw i am not a big fan of macro photography…mainly because for most people macro photography = insects or flowers…

Anyways…got 2 rolls of film dev…should be here soon

ok….some awesome creativity…reversing lens is cool…holding a body and 2 lenses is not…no i am not turning into a art donkey…

…couple of guys from work went to the “BEACH”…
